Sentinel Literary Quarterly (SLQ) is an online and print magazine of literature, featuring short fiction and poetry, among other things. Currently published quarterly, they host frequent poetry competitions to accompany their publications. One of my poems, third culture kid, was fortunate enough to win third place in the SLQ Poetry Competition, November 2018. You can read the poem below or on the SLQ website, which will also appear in print in their 2019 summer publication.
Special thanks to the team at SQL and the judge Dominic James, a well written and published poet. You can read his adjudication report from the competition here, along with some of the other winning and commended poems.
